Living Collections Toolkit

Acknowledgements

BGANZ acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which we work and pays our respects to their Elders, past and present. The work we do falls across the lands of many First Nations people. BGANZ pays our respects to all Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and First Nations people who have a connection to the lands on which botanic gardens sit, and who work with botanic gardens around the world to protect the plants we all care about.

The BGANZ Living Collections Toolkit has been developed through BGANZ with the generous support of the Victorian Government Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action. It has been led by a collaborative working group representing botanic gardens across Australia and New Zealand. We would like to thank everyone involved in this project. In particular we would like to extend our thanks to Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, who generously provided access to collections documents, and to the Australian Network for Plant Conservation Inc who have allowed us to reproduce portions of the document Plant Germplasm Conservation in Australia. This document is also greatly indebted to the previous BGANZ Collections Planning Toolkit Handbook.
